Hi all

Due to recent savings regime, wine purchases have been limited of late and it is killing me. :x However, I have come accross three potential purchases and I seek your advice:

1. 1998 Jamiesons Run McShanes Shiraz

2. 1998 Jamiesons Run Alexander Block Cabernet Sauvignon.

3. 1998 Elderton Shiraz (standard not Command)

I see TORB was a fan of the McShanes on release but did not rate the Alexander Block.

All are priced around the $32 mark so I would be interested in your thoughts on qpr as well as how these compare to other vintages.

Happy Drinking.

I had the Alexander's 98 for Christmas last year and it was woeful.
I then had the Mcshanes thinking the worst and was most impressed.
Dont know much about the Elderton but you must like oak I would think to like it

Andy,

I would go for the 2001 Elderton, its avaiable for below $20 if you look hard enough. If you must have a 98 from the above list i would go for eother the McShane or Elderton.
