Food and Wine Lovers: I need your help!

Hi everyone.

I’m currently taking a project at Swinburne University regarding Food and Wine Festivals in Melbourne, and I need your help! I’d like to ask a few questions towards females aged between 30-40. Your answers can be short.

- Age
- Occupation
- An approximate income
- Personal status (single or married)
- Interests (activities and hobbies)
- Have you been to other Food and Wine Festivals? If so, which ones and which was your favourite?
- Have you been to the Heathcote Food and Wine Festival? If so, what was it like?
- What is the first thing you would like to know when finding information about Food and Wine Festivals i.e. timetable, what shows are on etc?
- Technical profile: Would you prefer a print based program guide or a website to access information about Food and Wine Festivals?

Following the question above, please answer either for print material or website.

If you prefer print material:
- What format is easiest for you to use i.e. brochure, a fold-out poster, booklet?
- Where do you get printed material for Food and Wine Festivals?
- Would you like to know information about the types of shows on?

If you prefer a website:
- Do you use broadband, ADSL, or dialup?
- Are you comfortable using the internet?
- Do you use the internet for recreation? If so, what type of activities i.e. blogging?

I fit the criteria, so here I go:

Age: 31

Occupation: Student and Unemployed (If anyone out there wants to give me a job, I live in Melbourne, am a good worker and fast learner!)

Income: $0 (sad, but true)

Personal status: Defacto

Interests: Wine would be one of my greatest interests.

Festivals? Yes. I have been to the Adelaide Hills one, the McLaren Vale one, the Clare Valley one. Favourites: That is hard, the McLaren Vale one was good because it started early in the morning and we went for breakfast/morning tea across about 3 wineries and came home before the drunken idiots were even out of bed. The Adelaide Hills one I went to was several years ago and it was held at lunchtime/afternoon at one venue with small stalls for each food/wine business - this format was good because there was no need for driving between wineries. As for a favourite, probably the McLaren Vale one simply because the choice of wineries was extensive.

Heathcote? Have not been to this festival.

First thing I would want to know about it? What date it is being held and what wineries are involved.

Print or internet? At the risk of sounding a bit oldfashioned, I would have to say print.

Format for print? Not a poster - look too much like a tourist reading big sheet poster. I would say a booklet would be good - enough info about where it is held, what wineries/restaurants involved, times each open, adddress for each, a map of the whole region, approx. prices for food/wine tasting at each place, and entertainment provided at each venue.

Where to get the info? I usually pick up brochures for this sort of thing from bottle shops/wine stores.

Shows information? Yes please. It would be good to know what entertainment is provided at each venue.
