The nose is dominated by rich, dark mocha and a dusty perfume of intense plum and rasberry aromas. The palate is long and elegant with blueberry, coffee and aniseed the predominant flavours and a hint of dried fruit on the finish. The entire package is framed by chewy tannins and tightly knit chocolate/vanilla oak.

I just bought two bottles of the 2005. Any TN's or vibes on that vintage?
Too expensive at $80.00 Canadian but we only got 12 bottles in so I had to splurge. Thanks - Rick

Tried the 05 Godolphin and the Amon Ra last year, both excellent wines! I much preferred the Godolphin. I would say even better than the 04, a more complex wine, with great structure and balance.

Trying to remember the tasting from back in Nov 06 (when I tried it), a beautiful very well balanced Shz/Cabernet blend, the best that I have ever tasted (considering that I am not a fan of this blend) I still make myself try them and when you get one as good as the Godolphin then, WHAM! like fireworks in your mouth!

Very well balanced, fruit weight near perfect, well rounded tannis they are, somewhat chewy, a wine that lingers on the palate, your $80 per bottle very well spent! Enjoy the wines!
