Once a year I post pink tinned ham. Hopefully a forgivable sin for an old time poster
My website has a quick write up of my NZ new release wines of the year. Feel free to plunder my faultless opinion and fill your cellars with these wines. I know Gav has at least one of them!
Or of course we could discuss your opinions!
Happy New Year

Craig,
are those wines easily available at local NZ wine shops, restaurants, supermarkets?
2005 Ata Rangi Pinot Noir.
2005 Fromm La Strada Clayvin Vineyard Pinot Noir.

The only one that would be difficult to find now is the 04 Unison Selection. Most of it went to Export and Mail Order, very very little to Retail.
The others although not abundant are obtainable

Either your spelling is shit, or the illegal additives scandal takes a new and bizarre twist:
2001 Cloudy Bay
Pelorous This once broad almost fat sparkling wine has improved out of sight with its latest more focussed and elegant edition. Shows off a lovely
moose, and piles of breed and class.
Not sure if piles can have breed or class either
and while you're at it, shut up about the Elston alright - repeat after me, "it's very ordinary and overpriced" and there will be more left to go round.
Nice work apart from that though

Since tasting the Elston at Te Mata I've been looking for it. On Wine Searcher it comes up for about $32USD. That's a steal!
And the Bullnose Syrah is $27-34USD. Reasonable value, when you consider that the Unison Syrah is not available. Neither is the Passage Rock, but if it were I'd leave it for others with bigger pockets.

Good stuff Craig
I confess to not having visited for a long time but the content is as good as ever. Layout looks good too

no just my spelling is shit. Noted, not for the first time I might add.
and while you're at it, shut up about the Elston alright - repeat after me, "it's very ordinary and overpriced" and there will be more left to go round.
Oh yes sorry, I agree its yuk, no one buy it please, let them discount it at supermarkets more often
I confess to not having visited for a long time but the content is as good as ever. Layout looks good too
Thx Bert, many improvements need to be made. As already picked up spelling is crap, typos are common, needs some pictures and needs more content. However its a part time on the side casual thingee and seems destined to remain so
And the Bullnose Syrah is $27-34USD.
Yes another top syrah and it shows more class than basically all of the Hawkes Bay Syrahs, a little more understated. Easily could have made the 'mentions to' list

Quite right, Ian - under the new international geographic indication laws, only Canadian wines can legitimately claim to have a 'moose' character
