Passing by the local bottlo last evening, saw this on special and decided to give it a nudge.
Sourced from Pemberton and Frankland River, 13.5% A/V, French oak.
Vivid ruby/purple in colour. Sensational mix of red and black fruits upon opening, gradually replaced by savoury, cedary wood. Medium- to full-bodied palate, quite fleshy with impressive spicy black plum and curranty fruit with a considerable savoury/cedary oak backdrop. Good acid and decent length with (most impressive of all) the finest of tannin regimes I've encountered in a red at this price point for some time. Highly Recommended and at around $20, excellent value for money. Should last at least 5 years.
