2003 Chateau Lavergne

Just wondering has anybody else tried this drop? It's the 2003 from the Bordeaux region. Picked it up at the local Dan Murphys this afternoon. Was only $10 so I did not expect a great deal from it but I am pleasantly surprised. On the nose the oak is definately apparent aswell as strawberries and plums. Fine grained tannins. On the palate oak plentiful (just what I like) and I detect cherry and mint. Quite a lingering finish aswell. I remeber a wine which I tried from the Margaret River several years ago (with a Blue Whale on the label) and it was a Malbec blend. These are quite similar and I could also compare it to the Lehmann Seven Surveys. As I said, I did not break the bank for this one but was, however, pleasantly surprised.
