Fathers day goodies

My first post so be kind to me.

My son was visiting from Canberra for fathers day so a couple from deep in the cellar were sampled

1986 Wynns John Riddoch. Still plenty of time for this baby. Great length with a few tannins still showing. Great example of a the classic Coonawarra cabernet but perhaps a little short on the back palate.

1994 Mitchelton Goulbourn Valley Shiraz. Right in its drinking window and totally integrated. A top notch aged Victorian shiraz and perhaps underrated as compared with the more expensive Print series. Have not seen it on the shelves in recent years.

2001 Craigow Botrytis Riesling. Long and unctious with great mouth feel. A stand out sticky from an under rated small Tassie producer who has consistently turned out well priced rieslings since the mid 90's.

Welcome... I hope those came from your son's cellar ;)

Then again I wouldn't have minded if my parents collected wines...

Agree. The 2003 Riesling was a rip snorter.
