				Hi all,
I had some 1994 Pennies Bin 389 delivered 2 days ago. I bought it from Mark's most recent auction. I would like to try a bottle tonight with friends but recall some saying that you should wait 10 days to let the wine settle. Is this correct or will 2 days do?
Regards,
Allan

should be fine. Ive opened equally aged wines delivered by langtons 10 mins after signing and with a careful decanting they have been fine. If you are worried let it sit for 24 hours or so. If there's lots of "mud" that has been stirred up u could always do a crude filtration through cotton wool in a funnel (a clean one!) into another bottle.

It depends on the wine. For example I have taken a 94 Mt Edelstone to SA with me a couple of times and the trip didn't do it any good and it needed weeks to recover, yet the 91 Wynns Centenary and 91 Lawson have been fine when subjected to the same conditions.
Suck it and see, you have nothing to lose but a bottle.

Lovely wine with leather and earthy characters and plenty of plummy fruit remaining. Glad I opened it! Liked it much more than the St Henri of the same vintage, a half dozen of which we have been working our way through this year.
