Thanks to TORB for pointing out on his website Viking's change to direct mailing at wholesale prices, as it prompted me to split a mixed case with a friend.

I didn't decant this wine as I wanted to enjoy it over two nights.

The colour is a deep vibrant velvet, great teeth staining material. Strong primary fruit on the nose, initially mulberries but evolved over 24 hrs into riper mulberry / rasberries - not overripe or stewed but very fresh and clean.

Initially I found it a slightly lighter mouth feel for a Barossan, but I soon got used to it. The fruit followed through onto the palate, fine tannins, no obvious oak nor alcohol (14.5%).

Just finished the last glass and I'm looking for another so it gets a double tick. Will not be opening any others for a few years yet though.
