Winefront Special Offer

I haven't OKed this with Gavin but as a long-time contributor to this forum, I suspect that he wouldn't mind - if he does, I'll remove this post immediately (or pull my head in, or whetever).
But after 4 years of producing Winefront Monthly I've recently changed it to The Wine Front and also changed the web address, something of a risk but it needed to happen - because I'm now adding something (just about) daily, rather than monthly.
Here's the news bit: as a special offer to Auswine viewers, I'm throwing The Wine Front website open as a special trial ... just so that you can see where Winefront has gotten to. When Winefront Monthly first started 4 years ago I threw it open to Auswine folks for 3 months .. this time I'm only throwing it open until this coming Sunday night ... or earlier if Gavin deems this offer/post inappropriate. This is his site - fair enough if he does (though I don't sell wine in any shape or form). There would be no hard feelings.
The free trial is via these login details:
www.winefront.com.au
username: trial
password: member
case sensitive.
go for it.
hope some people like what they see.
(and thanks Gavin - auswine is and always has been a great site),
Campbell.

The new site is excellent, throw it open any time you want, as soon as you like, to auswiners!
And forum members, if, as I suspect you may, you find the new site great
SUBSCRIBE
You won't regret it.
Nice Work

"Oh God not another self made Wine Expert." Hmm now let me see why is your site so different to the ramblings and complainings of the rest of us wanna be wine writers?
Answer:
1. Your site is so damn professional - layout, detail, precision, lack of crap advertising
2. Everything is so perfectly written and its stuff we care about, concise and easy to read.
3. Awesome dedication
Your site is like a fine wine where the difference is in the detail. I get pissed off with winestate as every second word is spelt wrong (I remember a spelling mistake on the cover one edition was it chardonnay?? years ago before I ditched it). My site is the same but hey its just a hobby like Rics.
I look at some of your scores and think hmmm - dunno bout that but that is no reflection on anyone, we all have different palates so back your own, descriptions are thoughtful and not just poetic fruit shops (or roads, or barns)
You will go a long long way
Congratulations
C.

It is great stuff. All it needs is for the tasting notes to be as searchable as Parker's site then it would be the go to site for all things on Aussie wines.

I subscribed recently after a recomendation from Maximus and all the good reports from Auswine participants. It is a must IMO and worth every cent.

I endorse all of the above.
Great site and good design / composition. Don't particularly agree with some of the reviews although that's the whole point in a way...
Might have to consider registering based on what I've seen.

Thanks.

Thanks for the vote of confidence folks - I'm at the point where I'm throwing caution to the wind and putting as much into winefront as I can, the threat of financial ruin now on the line ... well, you know ... it's time for winefront to get serious. In that context, your endorsement strikes deep. I'm very grateful.
I'll be turning off the free tap later today, probably around 5 or 6pm ... roughly three days after I opened it. Looking at the traffic stats, plenty of folks have taken the time to take a look ... which is great. I thank you for your time.
I'm going to have decent-sized articles on Dalwhinnie (including a 20-year vertical of its shiraz), Torbreck ad Battely go up over the next week or two, plus the usual reviews and ... stuff. In terms of the next month, there'll be a big feature by Max Marriott on Hawke's Bay Syrah, another big feature on Chianti, a hard look at the Frankland region of Australia, and a dizzying lok at Vinexpo (Hong Kong). Be great to see you over there.
I also have a Special Subscription Offer running
thanks again - both to forumites and to Gavin (gracious forum host),
Campbell.

I subscribe, and it's well worth it. Good reviews and writing done with care. My sub has changed my drinking (and buying), and helped me work out a clearer picture of my own tastes.

I think its the most tedious drivel I have ever come across....utterly pointless dross....
Oops sorry...just realised we were commenting on Winefront not Winestate.
Winefront is the most refreshing wine related read in the country. Independent, forthright, and more than just monotonous, formulaic tasting notes. Agree with the chorus above.
