Just thought it may be interesting to have Friday afternoon quick poll, what are we planning to drink over this weekend, anything interesting?

Hopefully plenty of "good stuff" as we need to drown our sorrows due to the fact we just found out that we have termites.
2002 Kalleske Greenock Shiraz
1996 Orlando Centenary Hill Shiraz
2000 Petaluma (to keep the Coonawarra 2000 vintage theme going)
2004 Noon Eclipse
Some others on the radar:
2002 Penfolds Bin 28
1999 Howard Park Cabernet
And maybe even a bottle of the Rockford Black I'm picking up from Brian on Sunday!

I shall be taking a first look, as finished wines, at the two 2004 wines that we bottled yesterday. The culmination of two years work. From a personal viewpoint, it doesn't get much more interesting than that.
Cheers,
Roger

Drinking all the good stuff this weekend, saving all the faulty bottles and cheap crap for next weekend.

Roger what have you made other than the single vineyard shiraz?
As for the weekend - it will be spent house hunting, have sold our house so we can move closer to work and hopefully get a slightly bigger one - the challenge is of course finding somewhere where we can easily put a cellar.
As for wine?? May be one of the Happs recently bought to try - I had a dud group and Happs replaced them so I added extras to try - have all be good to excellent so far. - on reflection I think I might need a 10 year old red tonight but what and will the temperature be below 30 degrees in the house at dinner time

There are now two single vineyard shiraz off the same block.
More information later.

Roger

After two less than stellar Pinots over the last couple of nights (Siduri 2003 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and Mt Difficulty 2003 Central Otago Pinot Noir - the NZ'er is one of the worst wines I've had this year) I'm off on Saturday to taste some Burgundy and then perhaps a few from the
Wine Bar.

So Mike, what cheap, American beer did you end up drinking? I assume you would have to have drunk a lot to dull the pain as most of the stuff over there is like drinking lemonade! Go Steelers!!
