I have come into posession of a bottle of Hardy's Pinot Noir Keppoch (which I believe was the old name for the Padthaway region), Vintage is 1981.

I am wondering if it is worth anything or even drinkable after all this time.

It is a fairly light wine with a substantial sediment. The cork and lead covering on the side of the neck is intact although the top of the lead covering above the cork has been removed.

It has been kept in a cupboard for most of it's life.

to briefly answer your query - no, and no.

Dont be too hasty. It might not fetch a high price, but if I owned it, I'd open the sucker up and drink it one evening with a few wine buffs and see what you think. I cant tolerate Hardys at all, but you wont know until you try it!
