Have been offered a case of this at what seems to be a pretty good price but have never tried this wine before. Any opinions out there or TN's to what it's like would be muchly appreciated. As a rule I love Clare Shiraz

Lengs and Cooter Old Vine Shiraz 2002 ??
This wine has a home in my cellar as do a number of earlier vintages. I'm sure you'd find it a good buy.
A small producer who sources high quality grapes from several regions, the talented winemaker Colin Cooter fashions a range of very good wines under this label in a partnership and also his own Lashmar label.
The entry level The Victor is a noted overachiever, the Old Vine a consistent wine and well priced, The Reseve Shiraz hits high notes frequently for those that like them big.

If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking!

Jester,
I tasted some of the Lengs & Cooter wines last year at a wine fair & thought they all were beautifully balanced with excellent fruit & terrific structure. This producer is doing great things at good prices! Didn't try the OV though, only saw the Riesling 04, Pinot Noir 03 & Victor 02, but that was enough to let me know to look out for their wines, unfortunately I haven't seemed to see them around since then
