1999 OREMUS Tokaji Szamorodni Sweet - Hungary

Tokaji connoisseurs and enthusiasts may not care too much about “Szamorodni” (as it comes) wine that is usually drunk without food to warm a conversation, or when chilled used as an aperitif or after dinner drink. The szamorodni level is one of the lowest among Tokaji. As the Aszús increase in quality by the Puttony (botrytis grapes by the basket) from three to the mighty six, followed by Aszú Eszencia and finally the legendary Eszencia. A sweet (or dry) szamorodni may only cost AU $8-15 but it can be a great little wine as this example shows.

Attila, sounds nice for the price! Is this sold in Australia? And what is alcohol content pls? And what is the price pls for Oremus Ezcenzia in Hungary pls?

I was going to tell you all of this tomorrow night over a glass of Champagne but what the hell.
Oremus may be available in Australia (perhaps in Melbourne) but I never seen it. In Europe no problem. This wine is 13% alc.vol.
The old Oremus Esszencia's from communist times goes for around 72.000 ft a botle, that's AU $ 480. The lesser Aszú Esszencia's are cheaper.
