The nose was a bit of a mixed bag. There were some greenish notes of sweet pea and freshly cut hay, some riper tropical mango and passionfruit characters, and some spicy/sherbet/talcum powder/fairy floss characters. Enticing stuff. Full bodied, the wine was served too cold to begin with promoting some fairly hard acids. As the wine warmed up the acids subsided to reveal a rich, silky palate, certainly more in the tropical spectrum than I had expected. Some sweet barrel ferment characters started to emerge, which together with the ripe tropical fruits characters gave the wine a perceptible sweetness. A full throttle Sauvignon Blanc, rich and well structured, and more than able to accommodate the Morrocan Chicken dish it was matched with. Maybe even concentrated enough to please some of you certified red bigots out there!

This is always a bit tough to find. Any recommendations on where I can pick some up at a good price?
