1983 Château Gravas (Barsac)
Deep yellow with orange centre. Very good for age. Excellent nose is like unctuous honey, barley sugar, crème-brulee, and orange peel. Very good palate with lots of residual honey and marmalade sweetness on a very good length that is cut short by spirity alcohol. Not much acidity remains and won’t improve. Still, better than expected and a nice surprise.
