Decanted 1 hour...
On the nose, think of mom's blueberry pie with a dusting of black pepper, set on a recently sawn oak table. On the palate, more of the same, but add a chaser of Chambord. A very deep, rich, and velvety mouthfeel. A moderately long, sweet finish, with some bittersweet chocolate and drying tannins.
The oak component is just this side of being obtrusive. Perhaps it will integrate with a few more years? If so, this will be very nice. I'll wait and see.
