2001 Arakoon “Sellicks Beach†Shiraz Grenache – McLaren Vale, SA – 14.5%
Smooth and long but lacking a bit of depth. Sweet dark-fruited, quite savoury but very slightly cloying. Very enjoyable nonetheless. 16.2/20, 87/100.
However, I enjoyed the massively endowed 2000 Arakoon "Sellicks Beach" better (17.7/20, 91/100), as reviewed here: http://forum.auswine.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=2577
Kind regards,
Adair
