Quality releases in the last 12 months

Hi all,
I am hoping for a couple of recommendations from the board regarding the quality releases of recent times.
I left Australia just over twelve months ago, and have been missing the wine scene, despite doing my best with the European offerings. Anyway, off to the Greek Islands in a week and with a brother coming over from Aus, I thought I'd make him exceed the baggage limit with a couple of reds.
So my request is this: If you could have 2-3 reds, released in the last year that represent the best of where Australian wine is at the moment, what would you go for?
Criteria would be that they must be relatively easy to get hold of at the moment, and looking around the $30 mark (but up to $50 is OK). Don't worry about what you think may be available over here - Netherlands is nothing like the UK in that it only gets a few major brands.
Greatly appreciate any tips and I'll look forward to enjoying them on a Santorini terrace over the Aegean.
Cheers
Andy
