Hi all,

After a long lunch with Anne at the Wine Underground in Adelaide (restaurant where you pay retail prices with $9 corkage; great concept) I bought a few bottles of this wine for no apparent reason. Has anyone got TN's?

We looked at it with 9 other 2002 Barossa Cabernets a few months ago:

All the wines were tasted blind with just some nibbles (cheese & crackers).

For this wine it wasn't probably the ideal environment to bring out its best. I suspect it needs a lot of breathing/cellaring time to come together, and if you drink one now do so with a rich/strong flavoured meal.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Chuck,

I tasted this recently but havn't posted notes yet. I found this to be one of the better GC cabs in recent years. Layered, powerful and having a minerality that makes this wine very enjoyable. Will probably need 10 years or so to hit its straps but is very pleasant drinking now.
