TN Leasingham Classic Clare Cabernet Sauvignon 1994.

No signs of middle age, deep red-purple cabernet sauvignon with violet hues.
Dismayed at the initial coconut nose, a good swirl in a water jug brought out classy perfumed aromas, integrated fruit/oak and earth.
The first glass out of balance, everything was big but the fruit on the palate which fell over into a firm acid and tannin finish.
As is so often the case, the middle and final glass the expected. More balance with the chocolate and dark fruit coming to the fore. Smoother finish, long but still a puckering element.
A big, food friendly cabernet sauvignon devoid of too much varietal or regional expression.
Tending toward Australian KISS cabernet sauvignon with some regionality. Not a critism of the above, more palate wear I suppose.
