Chatsfield 1999 Mount Barker Shiraz?

Anyone try this or know anything about it?
This just showed up in my local wine shop for $10 US. It has all the signs
of a disaster. Too old a year for $10 new release, the label covered up by
the importers (Saint Paul, MN Wine Company) with another patch on the front label, and what I assume is an Aus animal on the label. (I'm still wondering where you keep those penguins )
WS and Parker seem to have passed on reviewing (which might be a good sign). Google shows there is a real winery by that name. The winery web site of course claims "The 1999 Shiraz has just won a silver medal at the London International Challenge. It has also been selected in the top 30 best Australian wines in the A$15 to A$25 price bracket." Hmm, no mention on this forum.
Since the fruit bombing of my area started about a year ago I've all but given up on Aus wines. 3 bottles poured down the sink after a sip; 3 more choked down. Given all this, I refused to try it even for $10 but a friend of mine did. I had one glass and, to my suprise, it wasn't bad for $10. A bit heavy on oak but none of overripe fruit bomb flavors I hate. Before I run out and buy a few any other opinions?
