just procrastinating whilst trying to finish a uni assignment...& was browsing through melb langtons auction.
amazed to see that st petes 02 is selling for $70 (+15% commission which takes it to over $80 - current bid) with a week to go!!
Still listed on winesearcher for approx $50-60.
Cannot beleive it,
the flipping has begun.

I just don't know who the buyers could be unless they are wealthy people who just want the wine and can't be bothered chasing it elsewhere.
It's very good wine so it will be interesting to see if this is just a one off high or if it settles at that price.

UPDATE: langtons BEHOLD... THE ST PETES 02 IS AT $81 (+15% commision - over $91).
will it crack the ton?

might just be an aberration seeing it is the ONLY publicly available sy pete's 02 available at present.
my money would be to wait until the next auction when the rest of the 500 cases are avilable...then the craziness will cease

Hmm...last Tuesday I found a six-pack of 02 St Peters at David Jones Food Hall in Adelaide...$47 and would have been $43 if I could have found another six bottles.

Well done Kieran, I found 6 bottles at a small Theos store in Sydney for about $49, had to find another 6 bottles of other reds to get them at that price - What a shame
