I know where I can buy some of this.
Can anyone tell me how good it is and what a reasonable price would be topay for it?

I stuffed up, it was 98, not 96.
How do the 2 compare?
I was quite keen on the 96 but am more hesitant about the 98, a lot of people talk about 98 wines falling over whereas 96 is universally accepted as a vintage of great cellaring wines.

Your hunch on these two wines is pretty right. The '98 is a lighter-styled, chocolatey wine, drinking very well now but won't fall over in a hurry. The '96 is a more robust, classical Dorrien with long cellaring potential.
Don't pay more than $40.
