They are making big inroads in USA,
along with Australia and South America.

Serge, Im curious, what South American wines are seling wel in the US? I ask as I'm off to Sth America in about 8 weeks, and I'll be spending time in Chile, Peru and Bolivia. I might get time to visit the wine regons near Santiago, and we are definitely going to Ica in Peru.

Andrew,
Chile is number one, followed by Argentina in the distance. Chile was put on the map by Mondavi who bought a few vineards there. Yesterday I brought home a bottle of Chilean Cab, $55 US, and more and more Chile makes inroads into upper US market (Zena was the first notable one, produced by Mondavi in Chile)

Bolivia..Peru..I envy you,
that was one of the best trips we took:

At the moment we only have one afternoon spare, is that enough to see Tiwanaku if we start from La Paz?

NO, it won't...you need few hours just to get there.

Also, I'm curious as to what time of year you visited, it doesnt look as cold as we've been told it will be.

cheers

Andrew

February of 04....
Will you be shown "Moon Valley" in LaPaz?
