Well I have to congratulate Southcorp

Just finishing off half a dozen lightly poached bluff oysters with some sauvignon - anyone jealous?? ;-)

Anyway - went to a wine and food festival last week, believe it or not for only the second time in my life.

Anyway at the Penfolds stand they had the odd bottle of the cheaper reds but was drawn to the 5th edition of the rewards of patience

I asked the guy if they were selling them. He said "no I havent got any copies here but leave me yr details and i will send you one out free"

It arrived today

Great service above expectations

The online edition is the previous one (2001/2 Tastings?). The current one records the 2004 tastings.

And in any case, it's a very nice gesture to send the PRINTED version, bound and looking lovely, and MAILED, all for nicks. The rep didn't say: Get it off the internet. The rep went out of his/her way. Excellent service.

Was it the genuine Australian edition or had they removed all the vowels for the NZ market?

Craig, only your second? - you need to get out more!

Excellent service, really surprising but such a jesture gives you a whole new outlook on Pennies doesn't it?

The value of real service must never be under estimated and conversely the damage done by poor service.
Cheers - Steve
