Hi Good Peoples,

During my recent trip to South Australia, I was lucky enough to taste the new Penfold's line-up from Bin 138 up to and including RWT and 707.

I have taken the unusual step of breaking this part of the story out into a separate article as it has such a mass appeal. it can be found by following this link.

It will be very interesting to see the divergent opinions on these wines, especially at the top end.

If anyone is interested in Campbell assessment (and why wouldn't you be) it can be found here.

Lusty,

Read the article and you will find out why. Most of the other Journo's would have been invited to "a pre-release event" -- this was just liddle ol' me. :)

Excellent notes Ric, thanks.

... and just out of curiousity, is that picture (with the glasses of wine on the table) at Magill, or Nuriootpa?

Campbell.

Woops. Ignore that question. Clearly I skipped straight to the tasting notes.

I tasted at Magill Estate too. First time I've been to Magill itself - always gone to Nuriootpa. Lovely place Magill, a national treasure. Penfolds oughtta be congratulated.

Good notes, both of you. Thank you very much. Neither of you seem to have an agenda, which is good, and not as common as it should be.
