I owe Ian for the TN on the 99 vintage of this...
Colour: Good dark red, bright crimson edges still, good colour density.
Nose: Slightly dusty and a little of the trademark MR green bean, followed by blackcurrant and spice, no obvious oak, very attractive and enticing, classic MR Cabernet.
Palate: Vanilla, juicy blackcurrant, musky spices, could be a touch of merlot in there, some chocolate, a touch off the full-bodied weight claimed on the back label, nicely balanced with unobtrusive oak and fine tannins that add just enough backbone for the fruit weight. 14% a/v
Lovely wine with many years ahead of it, good value for $30 delivered from CD.
