Allowed to breathe for an hour or so before hand. In the glass a dark ruby red color and nose of black cherry and hints of brown mushroom. The palate is silky smooth with a creamy texture and integrated tannins. Fine blackcurrent and licorice flavours dominate the palate with strong hints of ground pepper, meat and leather on a long finish. A lovely wine, just the way I like it with plenty of primary fruit characteristics with emerging secondary flavours.. yum.
