Sauternes, Chateau Cantegril, 1996

If the Sauternes wine is sold in St Maarten, 9 years old, for less than $20,
there is got to be a reason and there were few.
The cork was black on the inside, with streaks on the side indicating that the heat was pushing the wine out of the bottle. Excellent honeydew nose, masking metalic taste with bitterness on the long finish. Between South African Riesling, Tokaji and Oregon Ice Wine we tried recently,
this one is on the bottom compared to all others.
In your mouth
2- passable
Bang for a buck, quid, euro
3- worth it! $19 US
Emotional review
3- good enough for my sibling
