2001 Yarra Burn PN/Chard/PM Sparkling - 12.5%
I am drinking this wine as I type.
Pleasant lemon, toast but predominantly fruit driven nose. Similar profiled palate: sweet lemon with hints of lime with light toast and sugarfree biscuit. Very little sugar sweetness but fruit is well ripe enough. Medium intensity. Good palate weight that is quite broad and palate-filling. Satisfying. Ends with finesse from juicy acidity. Good length. Very enjoyable wine but quite simple and not an aging proposition. 16.3/20. Worth the $18 but not a "bargain".
