2002 Lethbridge Pinot Noir – Geelong, Victoria
Apparently the fruit for this wine yielded 250kg to the acre! Good intensity. Ripe plums and dark cherry with slight jamminess. Long, ripe, slightly stalky, fine tannins. Lovely finish. Excellent length, however I felt the wine lacked the focussed intensity on the front palate for this to be in the upper echelons of Australia Pinot Noir. 17.1/20. ($33 RRP)
