Coriole Old Barn Shiraz Cab 2002

Just got a couple of bottles of Coriole Old Barn Shiraz Cab 2002 and curious :?: as to if anyone has tried this as I think there was not a lot of it made

I think it is a CD only release, from memory a blend of barrels that didn't make it into Lloyd Reserve and Mary Kathleen. From memory we had one at Blacktongues early last year so I'll see if I can find details of how it performed.

I've tried it two other times at CD, the last a couple of weeks ago where they also had the (new) 2001 Mark Kathleen & Lloyd Reserve - it seems a well known English wine writer was in town, and a few wineries pulled out all their best.

The 2002 Old Barn had more earthy/barnyard characters, and the oak was less obvious than the two flagships. While the wine has good components, over time I really got the impression of it being left-over bits thrown together, as opposed to being crafted from day one.
