The Auswine Forum

Anyone know of any Aussie Wine Blogs? I can think of two, Appellation Australia and Pinot Island. Both are listed on the Wine Blog Watch. If anyone has one or knows of any IÂ’d like to hear about it as I want to start a listing of Aussie Wine Blogs on my own eBlog.

Hi Mike,

http://vinodiversity.blogspot.com is Australian I believe. There are a few other Australian and NZ blogs that are mainly food related, but dabble in wine a little, especially during Wine Blogging Wednesday.

Abbreviation is for Web Log. Blogger defines it as A blog is your easy-to-use web site, where you can quickly post thoughts, interact with people, and more.

Some people confuse a blog with a web diary, but its really much more. Bloggers initially were folks who would search the internet for obscure sites and information and post it on their sites (i.e. the pre-Google days). Now blogs are sites that use the internet to the greatest advantage and can be very specialized, like Spice Blog. A number have significant political, social etc influence.

I use mine as a cheap way both to store and get thoughts, information and tasting notes on wine onto the internet. You can use Blogger, TypePad, Xanga,
LiveJournal, WordPress etc, to set up a Blog.

If I was going to start over again I'd probably go with TypePad. In fact if I could get my act together I'd change to TypePad right now. But the biggest problem with a Blog is finding the time to keep it updated.
