Anyone tied a 93 John Riddoch lately?Just wondering when to open my one and only bottle.

I had a 93 last year and it was drinking wonderfully showing no signs of maturity and still very youthful. The fruit was fresh and vibrant, the oak noticable but not agressive, and the tannins still powerful and mouth coating showing no signs mellowing. It seemed like it was bottled the day before. Based on this I would think that it had many years left. But why risk it when it is drinking so well now? I would go for it.
I must admit though, I did not let the wine breathe enough and it was still opening up and getting better at our last glass unfortunately.

Good Luck.

I had one last winter, can't give any specific notes but remember it drank very well, a very good John Riddoch from an underrated Coonawarra vintage.

Agree with Stuart, no time like the present as it looks so good now. I'll be working my way through most of mine in the next couple of years.
Cheers - Steve
If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking!
