Had this over lunch today.
Color was a dark inpenetrable black with a super tight nose that barely gave anything away for the first hour.
After that, it started to open up with a real earthy, leathery and plummy aroma with strong hints of cedar and oak underneath. The taste was quality Yarra Valley Shiraz with a genuine structure that will hold for the long term. Mild spice and pepper on the front palate, that blended into a smooth stylish fruity, but not sweet tasting shiraz. It was complex and improved in the glass with good layers of jam and strawberries in the aftertaste. I feel that this wine will improve for several years to come.
Not sure of the cost of this wine in retail land, but I have certainly had many wines in the $50 + pb region that this would compare to favourably.
Cellar for another 2-4 yrs is my thought. - 91pts.
