TN: 2000 Rockford Cabernet Sauvignon

Post by Adair »

2000 Rockford Cabernet Sauvignon – Barossa Valley, SA - 13%
Light/medium bodied. Ripe dark berry flavours with port nuances are combined with strong Cabernet herbs to create a wine that is harmonious and enjoyable, quite remarkably given the wineÂ’s spectrum of flavours. Although the wine has no holes, its lack of depth is apparent on the middle and back palate. Fine tannins give adequate structure for a pleasant finish. A good effort given the vintage. The wine will not get better but will hold for a while. 16.4/20.

2000 suffers from the vintage of course. Have you tried the 2002 Rifle Range, bloody good stuff!

If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking!
