2002 Dalrymple Vineyards Pinot Noir – Pipers Brook, Tasmania – 13.7%
Powerful floral aromatics, violets. Deep base of ripe plums and dark cherries with a little sappy strawberry. High quality, smooth vanilla oak is present. Some sweet spices. Smooth and fleshy mouthfeel. Good weight. A lack of structure becomes evident on the back palate. Drinking at its peak now. Very, very enjoyable although structurally simply for a serious Pinot Noir. A very good buy at $20-$25 but it is $30 at the cellar door. 17.2/20.

Sorry. A Tasmanian (Launceston) mate of mine bought this for me after visiting his homeland a few weeks ago. Unfortunately he is a red wine lover and took no notice of the Chardonnay.
:(
