TN: Mount Langi Ghiran Langi Shiraz '95.

Have had a number of bottles of this over the past year from different cellars, this one from mine, so I kinow it's been well stored.
The wine has tasted pretty consistant over those bottles as well.
Colour is dark/brick red middle with slight browning on edges, given it's tenth birthday, not suprising.
The nose is the polarising thing about this wine. To me it's obvious there is some Brett, but not distractingly so, it does let some of the rich fruit through. If Brett is something that becomes more evident with age, it would have been tough to pick it in this wines youth. I didn't, but then again back then I didn't know about Brett.
The palate is rich dark fruit with a little earthiness, a little warmth from the alcohol, and a pleasant length. There is still some acid left, which rounds it out nicely.
I don't dee this as a top flight Langi, but enjoyable nontheless, and given the Brett may increase it's dominance, the wine was drinking youngish for it's age.
