Tasting in Brisbane - Rockford Vertical

Post by Maximus »

Hello all,

I thought this title may attract a few hits from any of the Brisbane dwellers on the forum. Through a friend living in Brisbane, I've learned that WineAway are conducting a Rockford tasting in the short term future, which will consist of Rockford Basket Press Shiraz vintages spanning '94 to '02. To kick things off, they'll be cracking open the Rockford Black Bubbly and finishing the night off with their Marion Tawny Port. Cost of the tasting will be $99.

I have no affiliation with WineAway, but I did attend a Kays, then a Jasper Hill tasting (where Ron Loughton was present) about six months ago while I was still residing in Brisbane. The facility's prime purpose is to store wine but they do conduct the occasional tasting which - from my experience - tends to go for about 3-4 hours. I won't include their details here, but any net savvy person will have no problems finding their contact details and emailing/phoning for more information.

Regrettably, I'm stuck in Christchurch and won't be able to make it...

Cheers,
Max
