Pure deep nose of blackberry, vanillin, licorice, tar, violet floral, and dark chocolate.
Warm richness of silky fruit, integrating layers of evolving yet balanced complexity, the spicy tannins were in the 'still' softening stage of evolution.
Next time I'd decant prior with more time, there's a lot going on in one glass, but this bottle disappeared in 40 minutes with 2 friends and myself.
Hold for probably 2-3 years from peak, but an excellent and well drinking Shiraz right now.

Coincidentally drank my only bottle of the 2000 version, and your note sounds a lot like it. I was happy to be drinking it!

Yes, its a nice drop.

Finished my last bottle over christmas

Thanks for the tasting note. I agree that it is drinking very well at the moment. It does seem to disappear very quickly when there's a few over.
