Would anyone know if this sparkling would still be alive and kicking ?
It has been cellared well.
Thanks

Gianna,
A very good sparkling year for Seppelt (particularly the sparkling shiraz, which usually lasts a whole lot better than the whites). However, my guess is this has well and truly passed its use by date, by now, although the Seaview Pinot Chardonnay of the same year (the most incredible Oz sparkling white wine for the price I've come across!) was hanging in there, beautifully, in 2000. Haven't tried one since, though. Give it a nudge and let us know how you go.

Should have some very interesting developed characters if it's not dead. I've often been surprised by old bottles I assumed would be dead, occasionally they are very good and always interesting to try.
Yep, knock off the top and see what's in store for you, I know you'll give us the details, let's hope it's one of those aged gems.
