I was munching on my cereal this morning and who should I hear on the radio but the dulcit tones of our own TORB, supporting the local wine merchant against the Coles/Woolworths dominated market. He was a guest on Alan Jones morning program on 2GB. 8)

Well done mate in support of the quality local wine shop. Pity Jones couldn't get your name right.....he acknowledged you as Ric Stein at the end of the interview :?

cheers,

David M.

OK you lot, let a grip and stop being rude or I will cast nustersions upon your character, or lack there of. :P Especially you 606.

A couple of weeks ago Alan was talking about the dominance of the big two retailers and mentioned wine in passing so I sent him an email pointing him to the article “The Big Squeeze” (that had just gone up on Torbwine) and suggested it may contain some information he may find useful.

A week later I got an email back saying "thanks for the email but I have not had time to read the article.” Well one of his staff must have read it and passed it on, because I got a call yesterday asking if I wanted to be on the show this morning at 7.25 to discuss it.

Lets put it this way, as things stand, I canÂ’t see Jones being hired by Coles or Wollies to be a spokesman/advertising person for them.
