TN: 1998 Petaluma "Tiers" Chardonnay

Nose bursting with stone & tropical fruits; ripe, honeyed, stone fruits with slight nutty undertones, and a long, lingering finish; good acidity, only a touch of oak. Drinking beautifully now, probably will age for some time. 93/100

What's the Tier's worth in the USA?

Not sure. The bottle I drank was purchased in England back in 2001 for the equivalent of US$54. A quick look shows similar or slightly higher prices for the 2001 here now.

I can remember picking some up on special at the Jug Shop in San Francisco for US$40 per bottle. Not sure on the normal retail price.
