Time to crack the first of a number from the cellar.
Still quite deep blood red colour. Complex earthy, plummy nose, still with a hint of lifted vanillan oak, and some slight bretty cow poo which in this case added to the complexity rather than detracted. Palate is quite full bodied with rich plummy, earthy, licorice flavours and a long finish. Really worked with a mushroom and herb frittata. Excellent.
Cheers
