The tannins are in massive abundance but are very ripe and are covered by the deep fruit creating great length but no astringency. Hints of mocha and a touch of earth. Very controlled and even after 4-5 hours, the wine is still tight. Rated Excellent, at $33, this wine is a must-buy, especially if you were not able to get some of the Block 6. This wine will be even better in 5 years and will continue handsomely after that.
