NV Lanson Brut Rosé
Disgorged in late 1980s. Found in the depths of my cellar during an auction sell off cleanout. Wasn’t aware I even had it! Remembrance of things past indeed! Light pink with hints of orange. Lovely fresh and bread-like aromas. After one hour, lovely honeyed liqueur smells, with toast and some sweet spirit. Very full. Huge flavours on the palate – lovely dryness with finishing acidity, which is well integrated. Quite full-bodied. Very good length as opposed to outstanding. In extraordinary condition for an entry-level +15-year-old rosé. No signs of excessive maturity, flatness, oxidation, excessive yeastiness. Bubbled along quite nicely for an hour.
Very Good 17.5 / 20
