Hello All,
I thought some of you might be interested / amused in the way in which Netwine (http://www.netwine.com.au) (a wine auctioneer that I have used many times previously) is going about differentiating themselves in the selling of Penfolds Grange.
The auction has just started (2pm Sydney time). Each wine (all vintages of Grange between 1980 and 1999) start at a "high" price (between $300 and $500 per bottle depending on vintage) and the price drops every 5 or so minutes... until someone buys it!
Anyone with a few dollars and people to impress might be interested.
Adair
P.S. I have no financial interest in this auction.
P.P.S. Gavin, please feel free to delete this post if you wish
