Hello people. Can anyone give me some advice? Most of the reds I have been drinking lately have been very fruity and round. I am looking for something (under ~$15.00/bottle) that is more austere. I had a Chateau Tabilk Cabernet (don't know the year) with tobacco and mint type flavours that got me to thinking along these lines.
What are the features I should look for in the way of grape variety, region, climate etc. for these types of wines? I love the fruity reds but sometimes I get a bit sick of drinking ribena. Any help would be much appreciated.
