2002 Majella Sparkling Shiraz
Nice plushness and even sweetness to this one, no doubt a reflection of some vintage port liqueuring. Very creamy like the Rockford Black Shiraz but without the intensity and length.
Very Good 17.0 / 20

2003 Majella Riesling
Heavily redolent of pears and nashis. Very fresh and crisp. Probably better drunk young but will age well. Pretty good all round and a departure from the normal Aussie lemon/lime binary traits. Nice slither of acidity too.
Excellent 17.3 / 20

2001 Majella Shiraz
Medium red with cinnamon donuts on the nose and some spice. Palate is lush with good fruit spectrum and a nice clean finish. Stylish wine.
Very Good 17.5 / 20

2002 Majella Shiraz
As above (almost a mirror image) but on this day the length a tad shorter than the 2001.
Very Good 17.0 / 20

2002 Majella Cabernet
Bit concerned with respect to the nose: very green and overly capsicum-like. Not as prominent on the palate but still clearly a major facet of the wine. A pity because it is well structured, elegant and has good cabernet expression (blueberries, smoke).
Very Good 17.5 / 20

2001 Majella Malleea Cabernet/Shiraz
Bottle was open 3 days and one third full. Seemed very good at least but hard to tell with unknown level of oxidation. Hence, no mark or impressions.
